Fans waited 7 long years for CM Punk to return to wrestling, and it finally happened a few weeks ago when he appeared on the second episode of AEW Rampage from the United Center. Punk then made his return to the ring at the All Out pay-per-view over the weekend when he faced Darby Allin, and it was Punk who picked up the victory.
People have been chanting for CM Punk for years, and when Punk chants broke out at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view back in July a fan declared they would eat their shoe if Punk returned when they tweeted the following: “These fans chanting CM Punk. Please stop. He’s not coming back. I’ll eat my shoes live on here if he does.”
CM Punk referenced the tweet when he posted a screenshot of it along a caption saying, “It is time to address this.”
Punk has since deleted the tweet, but the fan teased that they could very well go through with the shoe eating when they posted the following:
