cm punk

It’s been 4 years since CM Punk left WWE, but he’s still a very hot topic in the world of professional wrestling. Punk left behind quite the legacy in WWE, and with the way he left it seems that he has unfinished business, so there are still many fans out there who are hoping to see him return.

Ever since CM Punk left WWE, fans have been chanting his name in arenas throughout the country, and even though the chants don’t happen as often anymore, they haven’t died out completely.

For the most part WWE has done their best not to acknowledge CM Punk’s existence, but some talents have responded to the chants, and at one point The Rock even tried to call CM Punk from the middle of a WWE ring.

WWE and CM Punk certainly aren’t on the best of terms right now, but the company decided to give credit where credit is due during a recent countdown show.

Fans recently voted on the top 100 moments from Raw, and Tuesday night a countdown show revealing the top 25 moments aired on the USA Network.

To the surprise of many, CM Punk’s infamous pipebomb promo was listed as the second biggest moment in the history of the show.

For anyone wondering, Steve Austin’s beer truck came in at number one.

Corey Graves and Pete Rosenberg hosted, and after the video package aired showing the pipebomb, they noted that Punk’s presence on WWE programming was a “pleasant surprise.”

Punk has given no indication that he will ever return to WWE, but this seems to be an indication on the company’s behalf that they’re open to working with him once again.

If you missed it, you can check out a fan shot video of Graves and Rosenberg talking about the pipebomb, complete with a fun reaction in the clip below.
