After weeks of vignettes hyping up their debut as the repackaged Bludgeon Brothers, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan finally made their SmackDown debut last night as they brushed aside The Hype Bros in tag team action. It seems that the WWE Universe weren’t the only ones eager to see the duo debut their new characters on live tv, since their former mentor and Wyatt Family patriarch Bray Wyatt tweeted a heart-breaking message following their debut last night.

The former WWE Champion hasn’t been on a great run since leaving SmackDown Live and his family members behind in the Superstar Shake-up back in April. He was recently put out of action due to illness and was forced to miss the TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view, which was arguably one of the biggest matches of his career, where he was set to unveil his alter-ego Sister Abigail in front of a live audience for the first time.

Since his return, Wyatt wasn’t even chosen to be part of the Survivor Series pay-per-view and doesn’t currently have a rivalry on the Raw roster moving forward, so it makes sense that Wyatt is missing his family. Things were so much easier for Wyatt when he had Harper and Rowan by his side, but the duo has moved on without Wyatt and could be a successful team on SmackDown Live as The Bludgeon Brothers.
