John Cena has been part of WWE now for more than 15 years and whilst he divides the WWE Universe on a regular basis, there is no denying the respect that the rest of the wrestling world has for the 16-time WWE World Champion.

It comes as no surprise that many wrestlers in WWE right now would say their dream opponent would be the leader of the Cenation, but for a seasoned veteran like Bobby Roode, it comes as quite a shock.

In a recent interview with the Card Is Subject To Change podcast the former TNA star was asked about who he would like to face in the ring alive or dead.

He said: “One of the main reasons that I got into the business was I’m a huge fan of Curt Hennig, Mr. Perfect. I have like 12 hours of Curt Hennig footage that I watch all the time. So if there’s probably one guy that I would have loved to have just met it would have been Curt Hennig.”

He went on to talk about his dream opponent who was still alive and it seems that BObby Roode is setting the bar pretty high by suggesting that he would love to face a former World Champion on the Grandest Stage Of Them All.

He continued: “If you’re talking about potential matches that I would love to have, that’d probably be John Cena at WrestleMania.”

Roode is currently one of the biggest attractions that NXT have to offer, but when it is decided that it is time to call him up to the main roster, perhaps there’s a possibility that his dream match could turn into a reality.
