Time is a funny thing because when you look forward it seems like so long, but when you look back it doesn’t seem like it was that long ago at all. Maybe it has to do with our innate fear of aging, but let’s keep this about pro wrestling. It took a lot of time on the road for Bobby Roode to finally arrive in WWE. But all of the blood, sweat, beer, and money seem to be worth it because he is now The Glorious One and having a wonderful time. But as he looks back at his career he can certainly see how it picked up in a big way in very little time.

Whether you agree with Roode’s booking since arriving on the main roster is another matter entirely. The fact is people still love singing along with his Glorious theme song so he’s a babyface. He also works amazingly as a heel too which only makes him more versatile later on. After all, the goal could be to debut him as a babyface and transition into a heel only to become a tweener who the fans react to regardless and then Bobby could do whatever he wants because he’s simply Glorious.

Bobby Roode recently shared a glimpse from the past on social media where he broke down not only how long it took him to achieve his status on the SmackDown Live brand, but also Shinsuke Nakamura.

Both of these amazing entertainers are headed to NOLA where they will compete at WrestleMania 34 for championship gold. It was on this day last year that we were enjoying NXT TakeOver: Orlando the day before WrestleMania 33.

That match against Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship would be Shinsuke Nakamura’s farewell from NXT in many ways excluding a goodbye tour. On an interesting note, that goodbye tour was where Nakamura accidentally broke Dash Wilder’s jaw causing him to wear a cage on his face for months.

But as WrestleMania 34 approaches, Bobby Roode is ready to take on Jinder Mahal, Randy Orton, and Rusev no matter what day WrestleMania happens to fall on. On the other hand, Shinsuke Nakamura is in for the fight of his life as he takes on AJ Styles for the WWE Championship in a match that took a long time to make happen but in all reality, the process didn’t start all that long ago.
