Bobby Lashley parted ways with WWE in 2008, but he’s been keeping busy ever since. Lashley has found success in the MMA world, and he’s also had a successful run with GFW. He’s managed to capture the TNA World Heavyweight Championship 4 times, and he shows no signs of slowing down.

Lashley has accomplished a lot in the world of combat sports, but one of the things that put him on the map was the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania 23. Vince McMahon and Donald Trump both put their hair on the line, and Lashley represented Trump when he faced off against Umaga who was representing Vince McMahon.

No matter who you are or what you do, it’s pretty much impossible to avoid Donald Trump related news nowadays, and everyone has an opinion on the current President of the United States. Bobby Lashley recently spoke to the Orlando Sentinel about his time working with Donald Trump, and he noted that Trump was easy to work with.

“I think a lot of people want me to say he was arrogant and pushed his weight around, but I can’t. The first time we met, he just came over, introduced himself, shook my hand and said ‘It looks like we’ll be working together.’ Then we just joked around and he introduced me to his family and his kids.”

Lashley also added that Trump never took over, and he simply did what was best for business.

“We only worked together a handful of times, but he was cool. He never tried to take over. He was all about ‘How can we make this great? How can I help make this better?’ He joked with me that when this was over, I’d be recognized in Times Square – and he did what he said.”

It appears that Bobby Lashley and Donald Trump are still on good terms as Lashley recently reached out to Trump and asked him to be in his corner at Slammiversary. Trump didn’t end up appearing at the pay-per-view, and it’s probably safe to say that his plate is full at the moment.
