This week’s episode of SmackDown Live aired on New Year’s Day, and it featured a big Fatal 5 Way main event which saw AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Mustafa Ali, Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe compete for the right to challenge Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble.
AJ Styles pinned Randy Orton in the match to earn the title shot, and he will now go on to face Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view next month.
It was also announced on SmackDown Live this week that Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston will be entering the Royal Rumble match.
