AJ Styles is the current WWE Champion, and Daniel Bryan announced last week that Styles would be defending his title against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in a triple threat match at the Fastlane pay-per-view next month.

However, Shane McMahon made a big change to the main event when he announced that it would be a Fatal 4 Way match. Baron Corbin was set to face Dolph Ziggler in the opening match on SmackDown Live this week, but Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn ruined the match by beating both men down before it even started.

Shane McMahon then booked Baron Corbin in a match with Kevin Owens, and Dolph Ziggler in a match with Sami Zayn with the stipulation being that each man would go on to the Fastlane main event if they won their respective matches. He also announced that if Kevin Owens tried to interfere in Sami Zayn’s match, or vice versa, they would lose their title shot.

Baron Corbin was the first man to qualify for the match when he defeated Kevin Owens, and Dolph Ziggler faced off against Sami Zayn in the main event.

Dolph Ziggler picked up the big victory when he put Sami away with a superkick.

AJ Styles will now defend his WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a Fatal 5 Way match at Fastlane.
