Becky Lynch has been in a heated rivalry with Alexa Bliss for months now and she recently challenged Bliss for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a steel cage match.

For Becky Lynch it was the first steel cage match of her career, and although she didn’t win due to interference from Mickie James, it was still a noteworthy moment in her career. Lynch recently spoke to Mike Jones of DC 101 about her experience inside the steel cage, and she confessed that she found the structure to be intimidating.

“It’s daunting, it really is.  When it’s coming down, it makes that sound when it’s coming down. And you’re in there surrounded by metal…METAL! That’s intimidating, that’s painful, and it doesn’t have very much give.”

On Sunday the WWE Royal Rumble will take place from the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX, and Lynch will be teaming up with Naomi and Nikki Bella to take on Alexa Bliss, Mickie James and Natalya on the kickoff show.

This year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view is loaded with big title matches, and of course everyone is looking forward to the Royal Rumble match itself. When asked to pick a winner for the 30 man Royal Rumble match, Lynch decided to go with Bray Wyatt.

“I would love to see Bray Wyatt win. I think he’s the best talent that we have and one of the best characters that we have. He’s amazing and so compelling every time he’s on the screen, I just want to watch him. Every time he’s talking, and whether it’s backstage or on the mic, I want to listen. I don’t think that we’ve even seen half of what he can do.”

The Royal Rumble kickoff show is scheduled to air live on the WWE Network this Sunday at 5pm EST, and the Royal Rumble pay-per-view will begin at 7pm EST.
