Drew McIntyre managed to successfully defend the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber recently, but after the match was over he was ambushed by Bobby Lashley, and The Miz who cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to become WWE Champion.
The Miz has been with WWE for a long time, and it seems that he’s earned the respect of his peers throughout the course of his career.
The new WWE Champion discussed his big win on Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette, and he noted that he was well received when he went backstage.
“Another cool thing was, at the Elimination Chamber, when I went backstage, I talked to the people in the chamber. They were all very receptive and proud, and being like, you deserve it.”
