mauro ranallo

After being absent from WWE programming for weeks, Mauro Ranallo confirmed that he had parted ways with the company a few months ago. Mauro certainly hasn’t had trouble finding work, as it was recently announced that he’ll be doing commentary for Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor. That announcement was exciting indeed, and business picked up once again when Triple H and Mauro Ranallo both announced that Mauro would be returning to wrestling to do commentary in NXT.

Mauro made his return at the NXT tapings on Friday night, and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer recently reported that Ranallo has signed a multi-year deal with the company. At the time of his departure it was rumored that Mauro Ranallo had been having issues with JBL and it’s being reported that the company didn’t want him on the outside talking about what happened between them.

Now that Ranallo is working in NXT he’s in a different world so to speak, as he’ll be working shows that most of the people who run WWE production don’t go to. The tapings in Orlando and the NXT TakeOver events aren’t high pressure shows, and he’s also away from JBL which Meltzer noted is something that had to happen.

Friday night Mauro Ranallo joined Nigel McGuinness and Percy Watson and it appears that the trio will be the NXT announce team moving forward.
