Naomi has had an interesting year to say the least. She finally captured the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship at Elimination Chamber, but she had to relinquish the belt due to injury a few days later. After sitting on the sidelines for a few weeks, Naomi made her return at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, and she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the second time in her career.

Naomi has been holding the belt ever since, and at SummerSlam she’s set to defend her championship against Natalya. But does Natalya have a shot at taking the title from Naomi on Sunday?

Sportskeeda is reporting that current plans call for Naomi’s title reign to continue for the remainder of 2017, and she’s currently planned to enter a feud with Tamina after SummerSlam. Naomi vs. Charlotte seems to be the marquee match for the women’s division on SmackDown Live, but it appears that WWE officials are holding off on that match.

One of the big reasons why WWE officials want to continue pushing Naomi as the champion has to do with her custom light up belt. WWE wants to market the belt and officials were hoping to have it available in stores by Christmas, however Mattel has informed the company that the toy belt will not be ready by Christmas.

On this week’s episode of Still Real Radio we’re talking about the road to SummerSlam, who might walk out of the big event as Universal Champion and more. We’re also talking about the possibility of another WWE Superstar Shake-up, and which stars might be better off getting sent to NXT. New episodes of Still Real Radio are available every Wednesday, and uou can subscribe to the show on iTunes, and check out the latest episode below.
