After years of anticipation CM Punk finally made his return to the world of professional wrestling on Friday night when he debuted during the second episode of Rampage at the United Center in Chicago.
Punk’s return set the wrestling world on fire, but his real life wife AJ Mendez, formerly known as AJ Lee in WWE, watched from home with their dog Larry. AJ reacted to Punk’s return when she posted a photo of Larry in front of the TV along with a crying ice cream bar emoji and the following caption: “proud of papa.”
CM Punk confirmed that he will be returning to the ring to face Darby Allin at the All Out pay-per-view on Sunday, September 5. At the end of his return promo Punk also announced that everyone at the arena was entitled to a free ice cream bar on him due to the fact that they had to wait 7 years for his return.
