FINN BALOR AS

Finn Balor has come a long way over the past few years. It didn’t take him long to win the NXT Championship, and he went on to become the longest reigning NXT Champion in the history of the promotion.

Balor eventually dropped the belt to Samoa Joe during a NXT live event in Lowell, MA and he was unsuccessful in his attempt the recapture it.

Shortly after Finn Balor wrapped up his feud with Samoa Joe, he was drafted to Monday Night Raw in the first round of the WWE Draft.

Due to the fact that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship ended up on SmackDown, General Manager Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon created the Universal Championship. Seth Rollins was awarded a title shot, but Balor earned the right to go up against Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam in 2016. Finn Balor defeated Seth Rollins to become the first ever WWE Universal Champion at the event.

Unfortunately for Balor, he dislocated his shoulder during the match, and he was forced to vacate the Universal Championship the next night on Raw. Balor has since undergone surgery, and he’s currently recovering as the wrestling world awaits his return.
